The Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Applied Physics, Professor Dr. José Ferraz de Moura Nunes Filho, informs that a vacancy is open for the admission of a doctor for the Postgraduate Development Program (PDPG) – Strategic Postdoctoral - Support for Emerging and Consolidating Postgraduate Programs, with the profile listed below:
PhD in Physics with experimental training in quantum and/or non-linear optics. Desirable: knowledge in computer simulation. The selected candidate will occupy a position at the Optics and Lasers Laboratory – LOL, where he will dedicate himself to the development of experiments in quantum and non-linear optics. These experiments are integrated with current projects underway at LOL, such as quantum telecommunications, generation of second harmonic speckles and manipulation of the transverse profile of a laser via four-wave mixing.
The beneficiary of the Postdoctoral scholarship must have a doctorate degree for a maximum of 5 years from the date of implementation of the scholarship, considering the date: December 10, 2023;
The scholarship granted under the Postgraduate Development Program (PDPG) consists of payment of a monthly fee for the maintenance of the scholarship holder, in the amount set by CAPES of R$ 5,200.00 (five thousand and two hundred reais) per month.
